One of my campers is leaving camp for three weeks to go to a different camp for "gifted" children. This kid is five years old! How gifted can he be?! I think a special gifted camp is way too much pressure for a five-year-old. If his parents are doing this to him now, I don't even want to know the type of pressure they are going to put on him as he gets older.

I got an email from someone I babysit for, asking about a few babysitting dates. I responded to her email, and it was only in her response to me that she pointed out that one of the babysitting dates is not actually for her children, but instead for her dog.

Today, for my pre-work-out snack, I had a s'more made in the microwave. Although probably not a great idea, it was delicious.

One of my campers was telling me how he got the book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and his dad is going to read him one chapter each night. When they finish with the book, they are going to see Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory at the movie theater. That got me thinking - aside from the fact that I don't know why they are making a remake of an already perfectly good movie, the new version will not have the same songs as the old version. And the songs in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory are definately a VERY important part of the movie. With this realization, I have even less of a desire to see the new version.
