Apparently, flooring commercials work really well. If you ever need to get your floors redone while in the Chicago area, I can name you off a large assortment of places to go, just by memory! (I swear, some of these commercials I haven't heard in 5 years, and I still remember the phone numbers to the flooring stores. I still remember the phone numbers to the flooring stores, yet I can't remember enough to answer the questions on my tests at school. My brain is confused. Either that, or it needs new carpeting.)

Tile Outlet: "2244 West Fullerton in Chicago, just 3 blocks west of the Kennedy Expressway"
Olsen Rug: "Olsen Rug, shop at home, Olsen Rug, shop at home! Dial 888-OLSENRUG"
Luna: "773-202-LUNA, Luna!"
Empire Carpet: "We deliver carpet samples to your home today! 588-2300-EMPIRE Today!"

I love how everywhere I go, people are saying "VOTE, PLEASE VOTE!" or something along those lines. And, oddly, everywhere I have been told to vote, I have been told to vote as a Democrat. Which, while a good thing, is confusing. Where are all those Republicans? I mean, I know they are out there. Something along the lines of 50% of the nation is planning on voting for bush. (He does not get capitalized.) So those people must be out there. But I don't know where. Maybe the whole bush thing is all a phantom of our imagination, and Kerry will win with a landslide. Maybe the bush people don't use the internet as much as the Kerry people. Maybe my web browser will not render pro-bush webpages. Maybe I'm just avoidant and manage to not visit pro-bush webpages, talk to pro-bush people, or read pro-bush articles. (But, I do see plenty of bush bumper stickers and lawn signs, which I always glare at; because, you know, glaring at peices of paper will really change the outcome of the election.)

I seem to be having one of those visual migraines right now. Which is making it quite hard to type and use the computer. Since I can't really see my left hand or large parts of the left side of the computer. It's kind of disconcerting. I can't really read the website, because I can't really see it, but I think this website describes Visual or Ocular Migraines.

Maybe it's telling me something. "[R], you can't see! Go to sleep!" But, I'm kind of having fun, in an odd, disconcerting way, not being able to see.

But, it's getting worse, so maybe I will go to sleep.

I am on Fall Break right now. The random week-long break that my school has in the middle of fall, only a few weeks before Thanksgiving Break (for which we only get, I think, two days off).

So, there are two key words in the phrase Fall Break. One of the key words is Fall. This is very applicable, because Fall Break began just as the season, Fall (also known as autumn) was beginning. The other key word in Fall Break is Break. My professors seem to have gotten this word a little confused. Actually, I think they confused it with the word Work. Or, Read-Like-A-Mean-Lean-Reading-Machine. I have a lot of reading to do during this Fall Break Work. A real lot of reading to do.

I have to read:
[]The entire book The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down by Anne Fadiman. (This book is 352 pages.)
[]An article from Anthropology: Contemporary Perspectives by Phillip Whitten (I didn't bring this book home, but the article should only be about 6 pages.)
[]The entire book Last Resorts: The Cost of Tourism in the Caribbean by Polly Pattullo. (This book is 240 pages.)
[]One chapter on Schizophrenia in my Abnormal Psychology textbook. (The chapter is 38 pages.)
[]Lots and lots and lots of empirical studies on Selective Mutism for my Abnormal Psychology research paper. (This will be about 77 pages.)
[]One chapter on Morality and Moral Behavior from my Developmental Psychology book. (I didn't bring this book home, but chapters are usually about 40 pages.)

That totals to 753 pages. During my Fall Break Read. (I'm a little bitter.)

The whole point of this break is that you're supposed to be able to relax. Let the stress of [---- College] go away for a few days. But alas, they like to give us work, so work we shall have. And, because I'm determined to not fail my classes or loose my small but appreciated scholarship, I will do the reading (or at least I will attempt to do the reading, and give up when I realize how ridiculous it is).

(If I post this banner places, I get entered into a contest. And I'm a sucker for contests. So, I'm posting this. You should all go out and buy Vanessa Carlton's new album, Harmonium. White Houses is the single, and I like it. She dances in the music video, which is pretty cool. I'm going to pre-order the CD from her website, along with a t-shirt. Because I like t-shirts from bands/singers that just has a logo and their name on it, but not a huge picture of them. Because t-shirts with pictures of the singers on them really creep me out. Her t-shirt is just a design and her name, and the album name. So I'm buying it. And that is the end of my story.)
