I was sitting at my desk. On my desk their was a plastic fork. My roommate walked past me (and my desk). She stopped and stared for a minute.

I realized I had picked up the fork and started combing my hair with it.

"It's a dinglehopper!" I insisted.

Today at dinner we had fun. We were building a tall tall tower of (plastic) glasses. It had gotten to be pretty tall, about 15 glasses tall. Then, *WHAM* out of nowhere came a brussel sprout. It flew right into the middle of our tower and knocked the entire thing down. Someone with very good aim down at the far end of the table had thrown it. (This was after the two girls who were eating underneath the table had left. No one knows what they were doing there - perhaps they were performing a sociology experiment, perhaps they just didn't feel like eating at the table.)

The other day I found out that The Corrs are going to be playing a concert about ten minutes away from my house - a week after I have to leave for school. I am pretty close to devastated. The Corrs!! Playing at the outdoor music stage near my house, at home! Who'd have thought! And because I am going to be a Student Advisor next year (have I told you that yet? I don't remember. My school doesn't use the RA system that most schools use. We instead have a Student Advisor on each floor, and a Resident Life Coordinator in charge of clusters of dorms. The RLC is a paid position given to a college graduate, the SA position is a volunteer, but applied for position given to regular students. SAs get single rooms), I have to go to school a week early. If I weren't going to be an SA, I would be home for the concert. It would be a perfect way to end the summer. Instead, I'm going to be stuck here in the middle of Iowa, while The Corrs play practically AT my house.

And do you know what one of the coolest things is? I have been on that stage. The high schools in my district hold graduation there. Freshman year, when I was in orchestra, I played in the graduation. I played my violin on the same stage that Sharon Corr is going to play her violin. Isn't that cool? Kind of? If you are really easily excited? I also walked across the stage for my own graduation, but I think the violin thing is cooler.

I made it back from Tucson and Mexico. I will wait until I scan all my pictures to tell about the trip. It really was a great trip, and I want to go back right now, and not be here doing homework.
