The other day I found out that
The Corrs are going to be playing a concert about ten minutes away from my house - a week after I have to leave for school. I am pretty close to devastated. The Corrs!! Playing at the outdoor music stage near my house, at home! Who'd have thought! And because I am going to be a Student Advisor next year (have I told you that yet? I don't remember. My school doesn't use the RA system that most schools use. We instead have a Student Advisor on each floor, and a Resident Life Coordinator in charge of clusters of dorms. The RLC is a paid position given to a college graduate, the SA position is a volunteer, but applied for position given to regular students. SAs get single rooms), I have to go to school a week early. If I weren't going to be an SA, I would be home for the concert. It would be a perfect way to end the summer. Instead, I'm going to be stuck here in the middle of Iowa, while The Corrs play practically AT my house.
And do you know what one of the coolest things is? I have been on that stage. The high schools in my district hold graduation there. Freshman year, when I was in orchestra, I played in the graduation. I played my violin on the same stage that
Sharon Corr is going to play her violin. Isn't that cool? Kind of? If you are really easily excited? I also walked across the stage for my own graduation, but I think the violin thing is cooler.

I made it back from Tucson and Mexico. I will wait until I scan all my pictures to tell about the trip. It really was a great trip, and I want to go back right now, and not be here doing homework.
