I just watched My Family/ Mi Familia. It was really good. It was written by the same people who wrote El Norte, a movie we are presently watching in spanish class at school, which is really good, although a bit disturbing at parts. I think My Family/ Mi Familia is going to go right up there on my list of favorite movies. Really, I don't know what it was about it that I liked, but it was good. You should watch it. (I saw it on PBS, so they may repeat it some day, or else I'm sure it's on video somewhere.)

Will I ever get around to it?
(And by 'it' I mean everything that I'm putting off...)

"If 3-year-olds ran the world, this would be on the cover of every magazine and given around-the-clock treatment on the news channels because, to a preschooler, this is huge, bigger than the Middle East, Robert Blake, Enron and even "The Bachelor" combined"

This is the begining of Blue's Clues. Without Steve. According to the rest of the article, tonight will mark the end of Steve's era. He will now be going to college. In his place will be his little brother, played by Donovan Patton.

Donovan will sport a greater assortment of clothing (to prevent children from insisting on wearing the same shirt every day, as Steve did in the past). Donovan will also "[face] the challanges of performing in an empty, blue-walled studio, interacting with young viewers he can't actually hear and a cartoon dog who doesn't actually exist".

I know that if I were younger I would be excited. Blue's Clues is actually is a good show developmentally in that there is audience interaction. If I were just learning how to count, and if I were just learning my colors, and if I were home in the morning to watch Nick Jr., I know I would be bouncing off the wall, begging my mom to let me watch this show every day.

"We just figured out Blue's clues, we just figured out Blue's clues, we just figured out Blue's clues, because we're really smart!"
